111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
The practice has increased appointments by over 18,000 a year since the Covid pandemic. We are well and truly aware there’s an increased demand to see the clinician at the practice. There are over 7.4 million patients waiting to be seen at the hospital, who have already been referred from the GP practice, but who are unable to be seen for many months, some over a year by the hospital. This is stated to be due to the backlog from Covid. Unfortunately these patients have nowhere to turn and they are returning to the practice to be seen and these are very difficult circumstances, given the fact they have already been referred to hospital care which they are unable to access . This causes a blockage of normal GP appointments as many of these appointments have been given out to these patients on a daily basis and limits to those pre-booking with oncoming new symptoms. The practice has however taken a stance in providing numerous appointments across the sites, they start at 7:30 in the morning on some days on the telephone, to face-to-face appointments in evenings and Saturdays.

We have a variety of appointments available during this time, including that of GPs, healthcare assistants, practice nurses, prescribing pharmacist, etc.

We believe the additional appointments offered now will go along way to alleviate the current situation nationally experienced by all healthcare centres, including the hospitals and GP practices. Would like to reassure our patients, we are working extremely hard in making this happen. We have introduced newer services such as suspected cancer clinics (skin / breast / lumps etc), musculoskeletal, Podiatry & Exclusive Medication related query clinics. We have continued with our in house vaccination of Covid (we were the 1st in the ICB to do that in 2021). In spite of difficulties thrown by other community providers including district nurses, we have not forgotten our home-bound and end of life patients. Please feel free to use the newly installed automated system to book in the slots which are available daily and weekly.
